AGM 2012

AGM 2012

The GUILD DAY & AGM was a great success with around 85 people attending from as far afield as Yorkshire, Wales and even a couple from Australia dropped in.
Business at the AGM was conducted efficiently in accordance with the Agenda, and a few questions were answered from the floor.
The beautiful items entered in the Challenge were admired - much skill, creativity and patience was depicted.
The table showing garments and items knitted from patterns in the Newsletters over the years was impressive - quite a diverse collection.
Thank you to those who made the effort to come and support the Guild on what was forecast to be a wet and windy day - but, in fact, turned out to be quite sunny!
Winners in the Challenge competition were delighted with their cups and the additional prizes kindly donated this year.
Nick from Uppingham brought a good range of yarns, including some very unusual ones which he explained in his fascinating talk.
A number of clubs and traders displayed their wares and shared their enthusiasm with interested knitters.
Throughout the day a team of ladies from the Fenland Machine Knitting Circle supplied cups of tea and coffee, homemade cakes, sausage rolls and scones - all much appreciated.
